A little word about myself:
I learned windsurfing from my dad when we were on holiday in France. Later that year I bought my first windsurfset. Now a six years later I'm travelling around the world (mostly europe) doing competition together with the best windsurfers on this planet. I can not imagine my life without windsurfing today.

The times I'm not on my board I'm studying "Communication Management" at the Plantijnhogeschool in Antwerp.

LOOKING BACK ON 2007:
The year started with a couple of week training in Tarifa (ESP). Together with the other Loft international team riders we prepared our gear for the season.
First stop on the Euro-cup tour was the Mondial du vent in Leucate (FRA). Unfortunately we had no wind during the whole week and no competition could be done.
From Leucate is was straight on to the Belgian Speed championships in Gruissan, only 20 km up north the French Mediterranean coast. And again the wind took a week off so with no results I headed back home to Belgium .
Since I could not compete in PWA Slalom42 because my board sponsor did not pay the membership I had plenty off time to concentrate on the Belgian Championships Formula and Slalom. After 5 tour stops I was leading all the rankings, formula, slalom and racing.
Because the Euro-cups in Germany and Turkey were cancelled next up was the Engadin Wind in Silvaplana (SUI). Silvaplana proved to be a great place for competition… especially the parties J . The wind only came in from the good direction on the last day. I was able to win the second race of the demo slalom and in the formula I finished 20 th overall. During the week I was also invited by the Belgian Stahlbad Hotel in St Moritz to come there and talk a little about windsurfing.
Back home we had some epic wave conditions in Wissant (FRA). Unfortunately I was pushing the limits a little too hard on august 15 th ; I got hit by a gust doing a stalled forward loop and broke my foot on the landing. The doctors told me to stay off the water for at least 8 weeks.
I tried to compete at the next Belgian tour stop in September but the pain was killing me so it was over for the season.
I dropped from leading all the Belgian rankings to 2 nd , 4 th and 4 th . Also at the slalom worlds the first week of October I could not compete.
Looking back on 2007 I can still say I had a lot of fun, the parties were good and next year we can go full power again!

Looking back on 2006:
I must say this was really succesfull year for me.
In april right at the beginning of my season I managed to clock the fastest 'scratch' run at the Belgian Championship Speed in Gruissan.
Only two weeks later at the European Championships Formula Windsurfing, helt in Portimao (Portugal) from the 8th untill 13th of may, I took the title of European Champion Formula Lightweight 2006.

My biggest achievement of 2006 was winning the Slalom Youth World title in Alacati (Turkey) at the beginning of August.
During the year we had several Belgian slalom and formula weekends. In the end I finished first in the Youth Slalom and Formula. In the men's division I finished second in Formula and third in Slalom.
